Overview
This is a classic game that I’ve used for years with the youngest classes I work with. G2 and lower always have trouble using a mouse the first few times we get on the computer. So I started integrating mouse practice into our tech curriculum. Tvokids has a great game called “Bees and Honey” where the students click on bees as they fly by. This helps build up the small motor skills required to be precise when using a mouse. It’s a very simple game so students will only be engaged for about 5-10 min. However, it’s worth the time if you let kids practice for 5 min a day for a week or so because the students who need the practice you will start showing results in their ability to navigate a computer very quickly.
Concerns
The game sometimes takes awhile to load and periodically glitches in the middle. Of course we are dealing with slow internet connections here in China so other places may not have that issue.
